First of all sorry to hear about your loss.
I am checking this with a friend who is a TA but what I don't understand is did you make the booking through a TA.
You say in one of your posts that it was through Portland Direct. I am pretty sure that the original £54 was a low deposit but can you confirm this. You say that it was an online booking fee. Can you explain what this fee was for.
Hopefully you will get something sorted.
Gail
Anyway, just an update, my son sent a letter to Tomson and the Debt collector agency and he mentioned taking the story to the papers.
I had an invoice last week with a £0 balance. No letter or anything but AT LAST I can shut the door on that one.
Thanks for all your help and advice.

Hello Colleen, just before you do finally close the door, it might be worth you obtaining a copy of your Credit File from Equafax or Experian, or both. I think it costs £2.00. I say this as often when Debt Collection Agenices become involved in financial matters, they may have recoreded this on your file. And you can ask Experian or Equafax to remove it, otherwise your Credit Rating may be adversely affected.
Good point, thank you very much
