I would personally go for Iberostar. We got married in an Iberostar hotel & had a brilliant time. It all depends where you are going though.

I'm partial to the Riu chain although I haven't stayed in an Iberostar. We've stayed at a Riu hotel in the Dominican Republic and Bulgaria and are due to stay at the Riu Tequila in Mexico this year. They've not failed to let us down and treated us like royalty.

I have heard that the Iberostar chain is also very good. So enjoy whichever you choose.

As Shirley has said both are very good. We stayed in a RIU years ago which was great but more recently went to an Iberostar in Mexico which was nothing short of wonderful. Personally if I was going long haul I would be happy with either as they do go that extra mile.

I also got married at an Iberostar and we only stay at these hotels should they be in the countries we visit. They are fantastic! But as you say, it's your own preference as to where you want to be and how much you want to pay.
