Get a cab or push a bit of cash in the bus drivers hand.
What's so bad about crossing the street btw?

Are you joking? after a 9/10 hour journey the last thing I want to do is hurt my back heaving my 20 kilo suitcase, hand luggage etc across a street??? and what if there is traffic. I am almost a pensioner. I still have not heard from my agent but I dont think I am being unreasonable. No-one has been able to say to me 'you will be dropped off at your hotel' and thats all I want just reassurance. Yes if this is not arranged then of course I will get a taxi, . It is not a question of money, THIS TRANSFER IS PREPAID BY THE AGENT AND WE HAVE VOUCHERS so I certainly will not be 'slipping the driver any extra to drop us off' The only money I will be handing out is a tip AFTER WE REACH OUR DESTINATION. The transfer is part of my holiday package. I have paid for my holiday in January.

One thing I forgot to mention, nobody carries their sutcases we use trolleys. Now I don't mind pushing my suitcase in a trolley but again where will I find a trolley on the street? shosh

Use a trolley case or better still one that has wheels on eech of the corners.

i quite agree with you shosh
we were in benidorm in january and were dropped off at the back of our hotel it was a pain in the butt having to treck to the hotel
you pay enough to go so why not be dropped of outside
what time of day are you arriving

Have you ever thought that the bus may not be able to drop you off at the front of the hotel.?
Pat mentions Benidorm, well some buses are unable to go down certain roads simply because the roads are not wide enough or because of the one- way traffic system or the hotel entrance is situated on a footpath.

Across the street or a few yards down the street is different from half a mile away and I personally see no problem with crossing the street, you may have to cross the street anyway depending on which direction the bus has entered the area and modern cases do have wheels on them.

for all those posters who maybe thought that I was making a fuss, I heard from my travel agent today. It was the manager who phoned me and advised me that on making his own enquiries the charter bus transfer did not go near my hotel and dropped off at a DIFFERENT hotel from where we would have to walk. thats a bit like ordering a taxi from your house and being asked to meet it 2 streets away. The outcome was HE was not happy with the arrangements which obviously he had paid for and has re-booked us into a different hotel which is on the transfer route. Well done Global Professionals.

Thank you for your interest shosh

I'm glad you got things sorted. A change of hotel from your first choice seems a heavy price to pay though.

If 'he' at Global Professionals was so unhappy 'he' would have done better to pay for a taxi. I expect his admin cost alone far outway the cost of the fare.

We never 'chose' our hotel it was just designated by TA, however the second hotel seems to have much better reviews (again TA's choice). We just have to wait for all the amended details to come through within the next week as we leave on 11th June.

cheers shosh
