I live right by the park and can tell you that you'll only experience queues on Bank Holidays etc. Then you'll find queues for about 5 miles to the north of Kidderminster.

If you are coming during a holiday period then I'd advise reaching the park via Stourport. You come into it the back way then with something like a nine mile detour around Kidderminster.

Inside the park I believe it all runs pretty smoothly. I haven't been there in years.

Have you been watching the documentaries about the park on ITV Central (Sunday's) then. You may get them a different day in your area, wherever that may be.

Yes coming from West Wales. I have a sister in Daventry Northants. We're going to travel as far as Evesham on the Friday evening. I've booked a hotel there with a view to going to the park on the Saturday then travelling up to my sister's which I believe is about an hour from you.

we love wmsf. take plenty of money with you though as the rides etc in the park are extra, but value for money wise you cant beat it esp if you use the ticket again, as the admission price includes free return visit.

We went to Longleat last year so know how expensive these places can be. There does seem to be more rides at the WMSP so as long as they suit the kids it'll be cheaper to buy the wristbands.

From Evesham take the A44 to the M5 at Warndon (Worcester) then onto the A449 Kidderminster.

After around 10 miles turn off for Stourport at the Mitre Oak then follow the signs for Bewdley. Once you get to Bewdley then follow the by-pass and head for Kidderminster.

You'll see the Safari Park on the right as you go under the SVR bridge. Carry on round for Kidderminster and the entrance is on the right.

Found it ! just followed your directions. Had a fantastic day and could have returned the next day if we'd had time. Paid an extra £12 to go on the Safari trail on their mini bus. Brilliant!!!! No queuing behind the other cars - we went off road and onto the grass. We were so close to the animals you could almost touch them. The kids have got some great pics We will certainly return. One word of caution it is very expensive if you want to do everything, and do check out the height restrictions on the rides before paying £9.50 for a wristband.

Next time you're in the area have a day out on the Valley (SVR). Take your time and get off at the stations for a look round.

Nice pub at Arley, The Harbour and both Bewdley and Bridgnorth are worth seeing.
