Want to go away for the weekend to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary in March. but we'll only have the weekend as we're going without the kids.
So which would be best, Barcelona or Madrid when time is limited as we'll only have about 48 hours in the city?
I have been to Barcelona twice and Madrid once - it depends what you are looking for really. Barcelona is more cosmopolitan and has loads to see whereas Madrid is more typically Spanish and more compact and could easily be covered in 48 hours - on foot!
I like them both!
