Hi neknit :)

I'm not quite sure how you can have SC and AI, but .....as an idea......the Valentin Puerto Azul in Puerto Pollensa (Thomson) has apartment style accommodation, with a separate bedroom and sofa beds in the lounge.

It has table and chairs, sink and fridge, plenty of cupboards, so you can make picnics, but the cooker is not connected and there are no plates etc. provided.

The hotel does HB, and there is a cafe/bar on site.
It is only about 5 minutes walk from the beach, across a fairly quiet road.

There are loads of places to get lunches, or you can get bread and cheese etc. at the many supermarkets.

Check out the reviews, I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but it is somewhere to start! It used to be Superfamily and the staff are all very friendly.

Have you thought about Holiday Village in C'an picafort it is 5 minutes from beach and you go AI or SC or upgrade for a day or a week they are pretty flexible. They have a great kids club and a lovely splash park in the grounds as well. Happy hunting I hope you find something suitable 8) 8)

Thanks for the replies. I did look at the holiday village as it ticks most of the boxes. The problem staying there is its a pebbly beach. My granddaughter loves sand so it needs to be a sandy one. Last year we went to Ovacik in Turkey and it was such a hassle getting buses to the beach we said this time we wanted a beach that we could easily walk to and a short flight.
We have decided to hold on a bit as we don't want to go until October and my main holiday starts next week.
Thanks Margaret

Last month we went to Cala Millor and stayed in an aparthotel in an apartment on all-inclusive,it was ten minutes walk to the beach but the advantages were that the apartments including living areas and sofa were huge, also the balconys were massive with 2 tables and eight chairs.
The all-inclusive was 4star,meals especially sweets were vast in choice and the drinks were great, even champaigne was available, and four choices of cocktail.
The main tour group there was Neckerman and despite us being british they actively encouraged us to participate in all activities, the wife won diplomas galore but I was useless, also the childrens play areas are enourmous and with beautiful garden areas and two pools, bike hire etc.,you could not go wrong, the complex was the Tropicana and we booked through holiday rooms direct.
Look out also for other deals in that area for all-inclusive deals in an apartment complex,as there are a good few to be found.
We generally look for an apartment on all-inclusive as a fridge is usually provided, and to date we have stayed in the Monica in benidorm,Atzarro in Playa den bossa, and our room in february in Benidorm also had a fridge and living area,so an apartment with all-inclusive is the biz!
Bear in mind that when you book on the internet you generally pay per room ,and not per person so you can avoid all those ghastly under-occupancy supplements.

Have a look at the Aparthotel Vista Badia in Sa Coma. This is a lovely hotel which gives the option to upgrade to all-inclusive. Have a look at their website - http://www.protur-hotels.com

The Can Picafort beach is a sandy one not pebbly. There are a few low rocks wound the marina area, but otherwise the whole stretch of beach from Alcudia to and a bit past Can Picafort is one of the best and sandiest beaches you could find.

yep.... just echoing what Andrew said, Beach at C' an Picafort is definately sandy

That's wonderful. I think we will not go AI though because if we are on the beach all day we would still be buying our food and drink out and there is a difference of £1000 between S/C and AI and i am sure we could upgrade there if we changed our minds.
Thanks for the info

Just booked it. We have decided to go to The Viva Holiday Village in Can Picafort. We decided on there because they have the kids swim club and as my daughter and her family are emigrating to Australia :( at the end of the year it would be as well for her to learn to swim now.
Thanks for all the help
