Was wondering if any of you can give any advice on buying an axe cushion in Thailand? ( that is the large triangular cushions you can lay on the floor with)
I have seen them on the beach in Samui years ago and I really like them, when I go off to Hua Hin / Bangkok in a few weeks I am hoping to buy one there, has anyone bought one themselves, they do strike me as quite large and I am not sure if I would get one in an overhead compartment, I am even considering travelling light in order to buy one !!!
Believe me that is a 1st for me as last year we went to Thailand and Cambodia and I was horrified at being about 20kgs over between 2 of us !!!!!!!! luckily we did not get charged excess.
If any of you have bought one I would be interested in hearing whether you checked it into the hold or not ?

I got one in the Duty Free of the old airport (sure you can buy in new one - anyone?) for 500thb. Already checked luggage in so no prbs, and it squeezed easily into the overhead compartment.
Needless to say it's remained completely unused since I got it.

Travelling Sam , thankyou for your speedy reply , I know what you mean , it may be like my hammock bought in Mexico in 1999 , which is still in it's plastic bag, still I've been to Thailand many times and always wished I had bought one, I think this may be our last visit to Thailand for a few years so it's time I just bought one, thanks again, shirleyv.
