Hi.
Looking for some advice. We think we have got the choice for where to go for our second honeymoon down to 2, but we're finding it really hard to choose.
The two are:
The El Dorado Royale
and
The Le Blanc Spa Resort
I would be really grateful if anyone can pass on their experiences of these two hotels, as we are desperate to make the right choice, after our real honeymoon went so wrong!
Thanks in advance,
Sunaholic.
Hi there...Not been yet but we have booked the El Dorado Royale for next April...Look on Tripadvisor as there are so many post,s about the hotel there..I am 110% happy with the look of the place, posted loads of questions and they hane all been answered..We are both 41, so the hotel is a quieter hotel rather than a livlier one..we have splashed out and booked a castia room as they sound excellent..As i say havent been yet but reading the posts...so cant wait..
If anyone would like to post a review for the El Dorado Royale please do so
I've not stayed at either hotel but have passed them both. Their locations are totally different - Le Blanc is on the main strip in Cancun so plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping plazas within walking distance or a short bus ride. The EDR is situated on the Riviera Maya south of Cancun off the main Cancun-Tulum highway. The Riviera Maya has some fabulous beachfront hotels that are resort-based and walks are restricted usually to the beach. All the hotels offer organised trips and tours and it is easy to catch a collectivo or bus into Playa del Carmen or Cancun.
We stayed at the Iberostar Maya for our wedding last October and had a fantastic time. Have heard nothing but good reports on the EDR - especially cassitas section - but don't know much about Le Blanc (other than it comes out the most expensive on most holidays searches for Cancun!).
Hope you have a great time when you decide where to you!

I think we have decided...we are going to book a casita suite at the El Dorado Royale. It looks amazing and we can't wait!!
