Hi charliegirl and Graham and here is that big wave that the locals are waiting for
TUT, sometimes I get the feeling that nobody takes me seriously
Ingliza usually keeps us informed but she hasn't been around recently
It was still there in March. It is protected because it has been installed on a rock plinth. It is also made from very fine shingle rather than sand. This is probably to prevent it from blowing away in the wind.
you was wanting to know if the beach at Buggiba survived the winter, I have posted a picture of it in the above photo galleries. It is at the moment awaiting to go on to the Malta photo gallery but you can still view it on the upload page. The picture was taken in March 2007.
The locals are calling the beach 'Cat litter beach' As it looks to be made from it!

I heard that in bad weather the Government take the beaches up and store them in a big warehoues on the other side of the Island.
Beach twas there a month ago, off again to Sliema this Sunday, 3 June, will visit next week and report back to concerned forum readers.
Regards
David
