we are going to the hotel haiti can picafort majorca in august and in all the reviews we have read there is no mention of the restaurant opening times (we are half board). so can anybody help with the times for breakfast and dinner.

Read on trip advisor that hotel has virus and people being hospitalised, going there 17th August has anybody else heard about this or been to hotel.

Heading out there on 16th ourselves.

The only thing I can say is I've been to the Haiti around 6 times in the last 10 years or so (which speaks for itself really). Its an excellent hotel, cleanliness second to none, food fab and we've never had a hint of upset stomach or illness there.

I am worried though. I've never seen so many negative reviews for the hotel before.
However, I'm a wee bit sceptical of one or two reviews. They mention the pool not being cleaned all week etc. On previous visits I've seen the pool man every single morning cleaning it out. I can't believe the hotel has dropped its standards that badly surely??

Thanks for info lisa, can you help me with this question is there anywhere to hang some washing out on balcony as all other accommadation ive been to has an airer and the hotel photo's shown none.

I sent first choice email about situation and they replied virus was airbourne also informed me health and safety have been called in, hotel thoroughly cleaned throughout and the problem has been resolved.

Thanks again lisa, you never know we might bump into each other fighting for a sunbed early in the morning, suppose its one way of keeping fit

Ta for that. I guess it only takes one person with the Norovirus or similar and it spreads like wildfire with everyone in such close proximity.

The hotel has wall mounted airers on the balconies

lol, the sunbed situation wasnt too bad in previous years! There's an initial rush at 8amish but there's usually quite a lot left over. But yes, if you see a black haired brummie looking a bit embarassed at 8am clutching beach towels then give us a wave!
The one thing that is 100% accurate on the reviews is the bed legs. You WILL catch your toes on them! And God do they hurt!!
If you have kids it may be worth trying to get them to wear flip flops around the room.
