Seems from reading a few of the posts on here (my own included) that places like Castell Montgri, La Siesta (i'd love to hear of others) haven't really been as well prepared for the early season as they should be ... pools not opened, poor service at bars, understocked supermarkets, etc

Do you think this is another sign of dwindling interest in the Costa Brava? I personally think they are just putting themselves into a downward spiral .... by opening later, and not being prepared, they are actually just putting people like myself off ... and if the likes of myself stop going, then surely that will just keep pushing their opening day further back! It just seems as if there is also a bit of cheapness at work here, as they would rather not employ staff to do maintenance work during the spring, rather they do it all early season once the park is open!!

I do hope a lot of these parks will reconsider their stance, as i'll tell you something ... if we could guarantee the climate here, i would keep my money in my pocket - i spent a lovely weekend at our caravan ... on Saturday morning i was swimming in the open air pool at Greenock, and in the afternoon i was lying on the sun lounger and the temp was 28C in the shade - the only pain was the midge bites!!!

I'd love to see if anyone agrees regarding our costa brava campsites?
