It's a few years since, now - so I won't post a retrospective & out-of-date review. We had a lovely couple of days there, apart from the weather which was a bit like it's been around here this past week. Ended up at the Kirkstone pub ordering hot soup for lunch on an August bank holiday Monday.

Another excellent B+B in the Lakes is Robin Hood House above Lake Bassenthwaite - the only Lake in the Lake District.

Hi just returned from a fantastic weekend (will post review) if any romantic Guys out there really want to impress book this hotel its ideal for popping the quiestion.

Its a lovely hotel....driven past it many times. One of my favourite areas of the lakes apart from the traffic in high summer!

I would imagine it has some fantastic views from the rooms??!!

It has views to die for!!!
Can't wait to go back again. It is absolutly spot on for a relaxing, stressfree weekend away, or a celebration break, even a Honeymoon/Wedding venue.
