. I cannot see this can happen with two pools and one restaurant in the evening and separate one for breakfast. I feel so sorry for the locals, i realise prices are fairly high in resort for eating out, so therefore All inclusive even half board is an option, but i can see more businesses going under, we saw several closed restaurants and pubs closed even in the pernera area. It will be a ghost town soon. I would not pay these prices, you can go anywhere in the world less than that.Some hotels are over two grand for b &b in protaras.
I still love Cyprus and got the villa really cheap between 7 of us, it looks like this is the way to go, even though you still have to buy food or eat out, it will still be a lot cheaper overall than paying A/I prices.
As for pernera beach, the board options are changing from summer 2012 as they are revamping all areas and hotel rooms, this was the first hotel built in Pernera years ago, it does need a revamp, but i fear they will lose a lot of repeated guests.
