In all the times I have been to Goa I have never considered buying a lettuce. Gosh, what have I been missing ????

Average pint of Kingfisher R70, some hotels and bars R90, cheapest I found R60.
Meals for 2 we paid from R450 including beers ( Starlight,Arpora) to R3250 Souymens Kitchen including beers,wine and brandies.

Now £1 = R72-73

You can live on a very modest budget very handsomely. Prices for things like Lobster and Tiger Prawns will be relatively expensive compared to other things on the menu but to be honest, we can't afford to eat out at home anymore and wait until we get to Goa. There I don't pay much attention to the price list at all as it's all pretty well affordable.

It's a new experience for us too Dave - we've never had an apartment before!
However, we've enjoyed going up to the market and buying a few things.
We just love fresh papaya & lime for breakfast or a fresh salad with tomatoes and mozzarella on a baguette for lunch.
