Having had 9 holidays in Goa and feeling a bit Goa'd out, I am currently working on prices to travel to Kerala for this year's holiday.
I notice that if we travel on the 11th December returning on the 25th December, the cost of the holiday is quite a lot cheaper. Has anyone else ever travelled back to the U.K. on Christmas Day, if so, are the airports likely to be more chaotic or quieter or even about the same? Is the return flight likely to be full?
Sheila.
We flew back to Manchester from Goa on Christmas Day 2007. Airport was fairly quiet - no problem at all. Just a bit strange having a ready meal out of the freezer when we eventually got hom at about 6pm!! The flight was with First Choice and wasn't totally full but not too many spare seats. I'd do it again for the cheaper holiday option.
We've always found the three weeks leading up to Xmas is the cheapest time to get a package deal, and you miss all the pre Xmas mania of the shops which is a big plus for me but not my wife ! Ive never actually landed on Xmas but have flown out through H/row on New Years Eve,Oz bound, and encountered no problems. Alan
