Hi all,

wondering if you could help. we have just booked our first cruise on the sea princess for next year, we have chosen the itailian delight cruise.

my question is can anyone tell me how much the drinks are on board, we are just worried that we are not going to take enough money with us.

Also can you give me a review on this ship and another information, which would help us.

Thanks. :)

Any hints on good excursions or even more so bad excursions??

We went on a 10 night cruise on Golden Princess in July and had a fantastic time. The food, particularly in the waiter service restaurants was fantastic and the service second to none.

Drinks were a bit more than normal pub/restaurant charges. A bottle of wine was around $28 for the cheapest and a medium sized draught bud $4.95, a bottle of Grolsh lager was $5, Becks $4.25.

We took some red and white wine on board when we embarked in Southampton, all staterooms have decent size fridges - if you take this into the restaurant they charge you $10 corkage. You just have to budget for drinks, same as any other holiday I guess and pay up when your credit card bill arrives.

Sure you will have a super time, I would definitely cruise on Princess again.

Just received a Captains Circle Offer from Princess offering a 21 night flycruise to Caribbean (fly to Barbados) disembark Southampton sailing on 15/4/2006 visiting 11 Caribbean Islands on Sea Princess.

Insides £1169
outsides £1389
Balconies £1599
Mini suites £2019

Had I not already booked another holiday in that timeframe I would have been off like a shot.

What a bargain!!

Wow puts our price to shame, though not sure I would want to sail all the way from Southampton....

Hubby and I are booked on Sun Princess in November. Information given indicates that can obtain bottles of spirits on board, either by preordering or via room service e.g. Litre bottle of vodka $22. Don't know if this is any help to you.

I have just returned from the Italian Delights cruise on the Sea Princess and hope to do my review in the next few days.

It cost $3.90 for spirits and mixer, $3.25 for a Bud Light, $6 for a 750ml can of Fosters, cocktail of the day was $3.25 small, $4.95 medium and $6.50 large, a glass of wine ranged from $4.50 - $7.00. I think a 1/2 pint of draught Stella was $2.25.

You can purchase a sticker which allows unlimited fountain soft drinks, not cans, for $49 for 14 days.

Didn't buy any bottles of wine so can't comment, but you can purchase your own ashore and pay $10 corkage if you have it in the restaurant.

Hi :D
Has anybody done a pre-cruise stay with Princess in Miami, I have been listed as staying at the Miami Intercontinental prior to my cruise in November. On the web I found 2 Intercontinentals in Miami , I need the address to fill in my immigration form. I would think that Princess stick with the same hotels, so if anybody has done pre cruise stay at intercontinental which one was it?
Thanks

Hi Mumsy

I think you would be safer to call up Princess and ask them the address of the hotel they use.

Hi Carrie

First of all, please do not post in CAPS as this is against the T&C's of the site.

We did this cruise last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. You can read my review by clicking on Cruise Reviews at the top of the page. I think I included the price of drinks.

Any recent info on this ship please, last report I read (Early 2006) was not as good as I expected re: Poor entertainment and mediocre reports regarding food and sloppy dress for formal evenings. Been on the Destiny, have a cruise booked on the Mariner of the Seas next March so now have the bug and want more but still wary of any "to be missed" ships :?:

Hi,
Am thinking of booking a cruise on the new emerald princess in May and have a few questions about a princess cruise as I have never sailed with this line before. First about smoking, have heard that there is smoking in every bar/lounge except the theatre and just wondered if this seems to be much of a problem for non smokers?Do non smokers find places to avoid the smoke? ( I guess the eating places will be smoke free )
What is exactly included on a soda card besides coke, fanta, sprite etc ?
Is fresh orange juice included ? Are they really worth the money ? I hear that you can have no free fruit juices at dinner and there is a charge for after dinner cuppuccino but what about coffee/tea ?
Do I need a usa travel adapter to charge up the mobile phone? When in port for a med cruise greece/italy /turkey because it is a large ship will she be away from the main port area so a shuttle has to be used and on the princess line is there a charge for the shuttle ?
thanks for any help you can give me and would like to know if anyone is cruising on this new ship in may ?
