Having a problem with payment of my holiday balance.
Portland wont accept my maestro card (Clydesdale Bank) which I've been using since January for all day to day stuff, online and in stores.
They keep telling me it is an invalid card no and to contact my bank, who have then told me the card is OK.
The Holiday was booked online (using a maestro card from a now closed account) so I cant go into a Thomson Shop to pay either.
Anyone else had this problem with Thomson/Portland, or can anyone provide email or contact no for somewhere other than foreign call centre?

Yes already tried last week - will resend message to them -might be lucky this time!
I suspect the reason is you have changed your card. Their system probably is holding details from when you paid the deposit and therefore when you enter the numbers they do not agree. Have come across this in the past. According to the banks and cc suppliers companies should not hold your card details on file once the transaction has been successfully completed - they do which is a breach of the rules.
