When I first read this I thought :omg no way will £500 CYP last, until I read it again and seen you were only going for a week.I suppose it all depends on your eating habits, you could spend £5-10 on breakfast, the same for lunch and maybe £10-20 for your evening meal.Throw in a couple of drinks during the day and a few more at night then you could get close to your budget of £70 per day. There are a few restaurants in Pernera which do excellent set menus and free wine,Noufaru and Steak&Ale for example are very close. For a good breakfast or lunch you could do worse than try Zafeiros Kiosk which is just along the coastal path heading towards Protaras. The food is good and the location is superb. Most bars do happy hours with cocktails usually £1,we used to go to the Waterloo and get a few if these before going back to hotel and have a few on the balcony. :glynis

Just got back from Rising Star Self Catering for 2 weeks with myself, hubby & 2 kiddies (32,31,3 & 2) and we took £900 for the 2 weeks and came home with £100. We bought stacks of wine home and pressies home. We hired sunloungers and a brolly on the beach everyday, bought the kids at least 2 icecreams each eveyday and their beach essentials (buckets spades etc..). Bought food from the local supermarket for breakfasts (cereals & fry-ups) and sandwiches (cheese, ham, salad etc) doughnuts too, and stuff to feed the kids in every night (chips, pasta, nuggets etc) and then ate out late at the restaurant with them snoring in their buggies every night! Having a main course, sometimes pudding and a couple of drinks each it wasn't cheap but was reasonable the menu varied from CYP4.50 for the basics to CYP8.50 for fillet steak etc! Plus we hired a little motor boat thingy which was CYP15. I guess what I'm saying is we certainly didn't hold back on our spending and we came home with money so don't worry you'll have plenty to spend. Hope you have a great holiday we certainly did!
