I'm afraid you will have to catch a bus the train only runs from Malaga as far as Fuengirola. There are plans to extend this to Marbella but that won't help you at present.

Bus services are very good and very cheap and you can get to all the places you mention very easily from Puerto Banus.

Marbella and Puerto Banus are next to each other but it is quite a drive to Benalmadena and Mijas from there.
If you are someone who likes to get out and about instead of a beach holiday you may find it better to stay in or around Benalmadena as it easier to get to other areas of the CDS from there. You can go on trips to Nerja, Eastern CDS and Granada as well as the Marbella area and Gibraltar as it is central to all.
