There is no train or tram I'm afraid.

The apartments do not have bars etc immediately next to them. You would need to go down to the front and turn left towards the centre.
Think you'll find that many restaurants are just fine for families. To give one example. As you head into the centre, there is Tolos, which does good breakfasts. Another good place could be Tots which is in a road called Virgen del Carmen that runs parallel to the promenade near the tourist office. They have a whole range of menus with special ones for children.
Some bars - JKs in the Formentor road near the main square is very family oriented and also does good food. Bony in the main square features the crazy Jose who chucks sweets at kids. Very popular. Palms by the Pollensa Park hotel is en route from the apartments going towards the centre and could also be a good bet (breakfasts and so on here too).
Doubtless others will have recommendations too.
Enjoy Puerto Pollensa. Excellent place for families. Very good and safe beach. You might want to venture over to nearby Alcudia for the water park there.
