the coastal walks sound good we like walking
Hi
As Lorna says it is a nice walk along the promenade from Qawra to Bugibba and we do it most days when staying there, it's about a 30 mins leisurely stroll.
Depending on your exact location you may find that it is easier and a lot quicker at times to cut up through Qawra in to Bugibba and this will take about 10 mins.
If you look at THIS map you will get a rough idea of the distance, the #7 marked in the middle below the red #1 is the Sunrest Hotel in Qawra and the #5 above the red #1 is the centre of Bugibba, near the square.
I have just noticed you are staying at fawlty towers
the hotel is located just slightly above the red #1 so you will be much quicker cutting up in to Bugibba.
I hope you have a great time in sunny
Malta

...they're pretty much one in the same - there's no dividing line. Bugibba has more bars and the lovingly named "Triq 'it Touristi" (or Tourist Street) links the two areas and is awash with bars. ...all good and air conditioned.
Several people were kind enough to help me with information about Malta and the Canifor Hotel and I wonder if anyone can tell me where the Canifor is on the excellent map which was recommended on this thread.

Can anyone help on the query above please.
It is now 2 weeks to our holiday. Is it usually good weather in May,and is it cool in the evenings?

Hi Sue
The Canifor is very close to the red 1 in the middle of the map, in a good central location.
The weather should be very nice, evening temperatures should be in the high 50's low 60's, you may possibly require a light cardigan for the evening
THIS is a good site to give you both the current and also a 7 day weather forcast for Malta

Thanks for your help Graham.
I may have more questions before we travel on the 4th May.
