Unable to put comments on the Cruise Reviews forum ( Ship not named) anyway in April celebrated my 60th birthday on the fairly new ship the Queen Victoria, we sailed from Southampton 22/4/2008 for the Canaries, at Southampton on that day the 3 Queens were all in port, the weather was marvelous and the crowds on the dockside and the loudspeakers playing music, and the ships horns all tooting in harmony made this a memorable occasion (my birthday was the above date).
The ship is top to toe luxury we had a balcony on the port side midships, we had 4 formal nights on a 10 day cruise, and cabin/restaurant/bar.............magnificent, but the star of the ship is the Grand Theatre, in fact everything about the theatre and all the acts made this a cruise a lovely memory. When we got back to Southampton the brand new Royal Caribbean ship "Independence of the Seas" had just been named the day before, and was waiting to sail that afternoon, as of now she is the biggest cruiser sailing the seas, and she dominated the port of Southampton.
I have asked for the ship to be added to our Reviews site. However the admin who can add ships is on holiday at the moment and won't be back for 10 days or so.
I should be grateful if you would pop back in a couple of weeks and add your review.

I have been to Paris several times and the queues for the Eiffel/Louvre go on forever.
I think it is a bargain.
I look forward to sailing on the Queen Victoria as I just love the QM2. Never been to Paris disgraceful I know but never quite made it. One of these days. Have a great time and so glad that you enjoyed the QV.
Yes that sounds like a bargain. Hope you have a great time in Paris. Those 2 evening meals will save you a small fortune as we found eating out to be very expensive.
They hae a cruise mid july 2009 to the med... can anyone advise, is this a good cruise for a couple?
Absolutely yes, there will be very few children I would imagine. Cunard is truly 5 star, but very formal. Even their informal dress nights include a jacket for men.
