Hi, we have a family villa in Quinta das Raposeiras. Its probably best described as a fairly upmarket collection of villas built onto the side of a steep south facing hill. Depending on where the villa is the views can be quite stunning, all the way to the coast. The surrounding area is rural with a few towns, villages nearby. At the entrance to Quinta das Raposeiras is a small cafe/bar and a restaurant. It takes approx 15/20 mins to drive to Faro beach which at that time of year will be very quiet, or little longer to drive to the resort beaches i.e. Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago. If you let me know what you are specifically interested in i.e. restaurants, etc then I can let you know more.

Hi there,

Thanks for that. It's good to know that there's a bar/restaurant there. Is it a big estate? Where would be the best place for us to stock up on arrival? Is there a supermarket in Bordeira? We're quite happy just to get in the car and go off exploring for little beaches etc but if you have any recommendations for restaurants in the area that would do us with 2 young children and where we could eat quite early on too, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Vod
