got to go down to Reading for a wedding in July. we live in yorkshire so we want to make a weekend of it. i have a couple of ideas but not sure if they would work,
if we wanted to go to london for the day how far is it by train, any idea how much it would cost.
if we decided that it was too far away/to expensive, we would want to go somewhere close to Reading.is there any tourist attractions close by?
also we would be looking for a 3/4 star central hotel in Reading.
any ideas appreciated
muzzy
Reading to London is quick and easy by train.
Yes,as zenouk says it only takes about 30 mins on the train.
Not sure how much it would cost individually at the weekend but we get a family ticket in the week for 2 adults and 2 children for £30 return which then includes all your underground fares as well.
If you stay in Reading you could visit Windsor and the Castle which isn`t that far away and there`s plenty to see there.
Reading has a huge shopping centre called The Oracle in the town centre which is ideal if you like shopping.
If you need any more info or want some hotel advice just send me a pm, I`d be happy to help.
