i want to go to greece next year(already going to ibiza this year)never been before, but a friend has been to corfu and won,t go anywhere else now.my friend stayed at paleocastrista(don't know if i spelled it right)and says it is beautiful.i don't think that resort would suit us as a family with teenagers, but where do you think would.
i need somewhere to keep the kids entertained plus nice bars for hubby, and nice resturants and a good beach for me.
thanks in advance tracey
I would recomend Roda - quiet but not too quiet. Took my teenage daughter there last year and she loved it so much going back again this year.....
thanks i,ll check out roda

I'd recommend either of these resorts even though I hear Acharavi has developed a fair bit since we were there. Kassiopi was great with enough to do for a fortnight without getting too busy. The only drawback is that it hasn't got a sandy beach only a couple of pebbly coves. Still, you can get a boat from the harbour to a number of nearby places including Corfu town which is a must for an evening out. Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with.

Would also like to recommend Roda for a great holiday in Corfu. It is a lovely village which still has a centre and the locals happily welcome the holidaymakers. Many locals also frequent the bars and restaurants of the village and the range for eating is excellent. There are many Greek restaurants, Roda Park is our favourite and Voula and Costa will welcome you into their family focussed restaurant. They also put on a regular Greek night, which is free, no entrance fee required. You'll have great fun smashing the plates! Maggies is English run and serves a very mean fish and chips among other dishes and Greek dishes too. Pirates is a great place for coffees and snacks during the day and then is a hub of activity as a music bar in the evenings. The choice of bars and restaurants is too great to get round in one week, perhaps even two weeks!
The beach is broad and sandy, with a clear sea that deepens gradually so is very safe for youngsters. The village offers a wide variety of activities, water-skiing, boat hire and trips, horse riding, car/scooter/bike hire etc.
You can take a look yourself at what Roda has to offer by going to their own village website under officialroda
I hope to see you in the village later in the year.
I recommend you look at Agios Stefanos (San Stef as it is called by regulars) on the lovely north WEST coast ...at a rough guess about 25 miles north of Paleokastritsa). It has a good name for a nice friendly atmosphere with plenty to do for all ages without being a rowdy place.
See http://www.sanstefanos.co.uk and also there is a fantastic specialist Forum on the Corfu Travel Guide.
The next resort south from San Stefanos NW, Arillas, is also a great place for returnees, being small, compact, with a good sandy beach.

I am sure that you and hubby would love the peace and beauty of my favourite place, Agios Georgios north, but the teenagers would probably find it boring.

I would also recommend San Stefanos. Its a lovley place/ the transfers can be quite long - up to about 2 hours, but its worth it.
