Tired of going to Side and need Inspiration for 2009.
Thinking of Belek - has anyone been to Belek who has also been to Hemera in Side? What hotels are best for child free travellers. Ideally Thomson or Thomas Cook or Portland.
May 2009.
Loads of great luxury 5* hotels in Belek. Not a lot to do outside the hotel though, unless you go on organised trips. Xanadu, Cornelia, Rixos Premium, to name a few, are all great hotels.
Looking at Club Asteria - anyone been recently. We are at the brochure stage.
The thomson website though has some good photos of it and the Susesi website has some nice photos!!
We have been going to 5 star hotels Lara beach so fancied a change but wanted a similar quality of hotel! I have been to the hemera but it was several years ago. We are going to the Paloma Perissia in Side at easter.
There are plenty of good quality 5*hotels in belek and plenty to do outside the hotels ,not right outside the hotels ,but the Antalya region offers many great historic sites ,Aspendos ,ancient city of Perge are all just a short distance away .Antalya itself is only a 40min bus ride shorter in a taxi ,where there are plenty of good quality shops and restaurants ,far far more than places like Marmaris .What makes belek so good as far as i am concerned is the fact that there are no pubs, cafes and restaurants right outside your hotels .
Also looking for a good 5* AI hotel with the amenities found in the big ones around Belek & Lara Beach......but are there are where the British are not so outnumbered ? Preferably I'd like somewhere with at least 40-50% Brits.
Been to belek many times now at various times of the year and found that there are more brits in say September than there is in June /July ,but there are always many Russians at any time .It is because belek is just a couple of hours flight from Moscow i am told.
So am I right in thinking that there are no shops or bars outside any of the hotels in Belek?
You are correct perfume ,the nearest is in belek itself about ten mins walk depending on what hotel you are in .
Lara beach has more shops etc, right outside. It also has a Burger King, not my thing but there you go. Could be an option? That said we are going Belek in a few weeks time and next year as the hotels are brilliant and we alway say we will go out for a walk etc but we never do.
Club Asteria is fantastic
Agree about Club Asteria we also loved it, but absolutely nothing within walking distance.
If you want shops close to the hotel, the melissa gardens has recently opened at the entrance to Kadriye, 5 minute walk into town or a ten minute walk to the beach
Hi..........We stayed at the Hemera last june/july 08, and this year have booked 2 weeks all inclsive at the Martim Pine Beach Club Resort in Belek with t/cook..........this hotel has own miniaqua park for the kids to enjoy........not many reports on this hotel..so im a little thoughtfull on what to expect...........we paid 2,500 for 2 adults and 2 kids , aged 12 and 8 in july/august.
Kaya Belek hotel is a 5* hotel near kadryie village. Hotel is fantastic right on the beach. Plenty of bars and places to eat.
if it helps take a looks at all the hotels in belek on google earth......gives you an idea to the hotels in the area, and the space around them
