I am after a new camera for my 6 week holiday in Philippines in a couple months time.....
Any recommendations? possibly a price limit upto £150, could possibly stretch to a bit more.... Also wouldn't mind extras thrown in like a bag and sd card, batteries. although if the camera is a decent price I will have money to buy them as well.
Obviously decent battery life is a must and preferably something with a decent sized sd card as I will have quite a few pictures on it no doubt upon my return
I've had a Fuji for a few years -takes good quality holiday photos -seem to have decent lenses.

It cost me less than 100 EUR at our local supermarket and was a last minute purchase on the very day we were flying to Luxor when we found out our original Fuji was not working!
More recently though, I've got more into photography and decided I wanted to upgrade. I was looking at Bridge cameras as they were a little cheaper than DSLR's and also Mirrorless cameras. But whilst back in UK for a short visit to see my parents I saw the Nikon D3100 DSLR for sale in Argos. I checked the reviews and it seemed like it was a good deal at £269 plus I got an additional discount on the day.
It's very simple to use in either the Auto mode or by using the Guide. It's bulkier of course and not the type of camera you can just slip into your pocket. I'm very happy with it and now wish I'd made the change 6 months earlier when I originally started looking and talked myself out of it because I didn't understand all the terminology and jargon!
This one was taken a couple of Wednesday's ago on my afternoon off work:

And this is one of the first photos I took while we were back in Blackpool. This was on 4th December at Knott End on Sea, the day before the first of the big storms started to arrive. It was very breezy but nothing like the wind we experienced the next day!

Those are superb pictures, you obviously have the knack for photography!
Consider smaller cards rather than one big one. It is not unknown for them to go wrong
For the Canon camera I had a 4gb SD card and now I got an 8gb for the Nikon so it gives me the option to use either.
I forgot to mention that the battery life for the Canon IXUS was superb. But remember, you do use more battery if you're using the zoom a lot or for video.
