If you can get a room at Fort Residency then go for it. It is usually full, and with good reason as it is a good value hotel in a good location.

Good tip re the pick up service as we were thinking of booking the pick up. However, they won't take direct bookings till 3 months beforehand for some reason. Can find them on Expedia so might look at what they charge - but its too early for them, by about a week or so. I think I may have to book through them as I can't see rooms being available direct from the hotel at all. Perhaps they get money up front by using Expedia? Would you have time to give it its first review please? We have it here- even a basic one would be great
I'm having trouble persuading OH that we need to look at more basic hotels than last year. This one does seem fine but he is panicking a bit with my suggestion of the Causeway. ( I thought it was us women who were supposed to panic over things like hotels )
