just home today.
quick run through of places we ate.
Djannys , was its usual , busy, but good food and service at reasonable prices.
Malinas, (to watch Celtic v Arsenal ) cheap and cheerful. Food was fine. Best place to watch Celtic in SB.
Bombay Grill. Great curry, but be warned, its UK prices.
Antonios (on road to St Vlas ) Good food, really nice place, fantastic value.
Car Wash ? On the main road to St Vlas. Honest! It used to be just the car wash, with a small coffee stall, but they hace added an outdoor eating area with a big BBQ.
The food from the barbecue is great. But the place doesnt seem to have a name. The sign just says Restaurant and BBQ.
Lot of people from Yalta have tried, with no complaints. (except the live music, which isnt to everyones taste )
Miami. Decided to try it after seeing it mentioned in here.
Very friendly, warm welcome and good service, but the food was pretty ordinary, and more expensive than most in St Vlas.
Bansko was excellent, first night we went there we had 1 Shopska Salad to share, 2 Chicken Sache, 1 Garlic Bread, 2 large beers and 2 glasses of white wine, there was so much food we couldn't eat it all, the waiter asked if we didn't like the food, we said yes but there was too much, he said please come back but share a main course which we did (same everything but only one Chicken Sache) the bill was only 31Lev = £14 !!
Havana was great as well, 1 Shopska Salad to share, 2 Spaghetti Carbonara, 1 Garlic Bread, 2 large beers 1 + 1 free white wine 25 Lev = £11.50
We at the large Skewers in lots of places with Salads and drinks, I can't remember how much we paid but very similar prices as above.
We also ate the Kavarma in a few places, it varied at each restraunt, in one we got a fried egg on top!! It was a surprise but we ate it anyway.
I just love new taste experiences and was delighted with the quality and prices.
Does any of you lot never try the Atol eaterie near Djannys about 100yards from there up towards the main road exellent food and very very reasonable ,beer 1lev , on average 3 courses and 2 beers each for 2 cost around 20 lev a bargain truly .
Ideal location for the market area and great to sit outside, people watching!
