Fantastic
The rooms in the annex ( i was told ) are not so good a little dampish. The main hotel is fab the lounge is comfy and the food is fantastic I guess I will have to pay double for scotish slimmers this week for adding on so much weight in a weekend.
The room we had was room 3 The room was quite small but cosy. A tv,cideo and tea and coffe facitilites. When the boys went out to watch the rugby the girls took wine to the bath pampered themselves then got a video from the libary and chilled to ensure another fab night was had. The hotel is right on the opposite side of the road from Lake windemere a ferry takes yuo anywhere and 10 mins walking takes you into the lovely town of Ambleside. The hotel has a pool but that was too energetic to do - although maybe I should have to burn off some of those calories. The food like I have already said was to die for. Hand made sausages the full english was just a desperate dan size with a buffet to help yourself to first.
The lakes are quite expensive but the place is a breath of fresh air and just so relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We had room 3 and 4 4 was a family sized room with a souble and a single bed and a bath and shower seperate.
Really like this hotel It was recommended to me and I will do the same.
