I have also been having problems.

I have been a member since 2004 and started having problems getting the web site up first and when I evenetually did it did not recognise my username and would not let me log on.

I eventually had to re-register using a different username and password. One of the moderators said that they would look into it for me but no reply yet. What is happening here????

i have no idea. it finally let me set up my friend but i dont understand as i didnt do anything different to the previous four attempts.

no i know you have had a few problems recently is this still the case? and if this is stopping new members from registering have you any ideas how long it will be like this?

Hi vikkims ... I'm sorry that your friend has been experiencing problems registering an account. Her stumbling block may well have been the fact that she had been trying to place entries in those website and signature fields. Those options were suspended some time ago to reduce mis-use and spamming and so if you do enter anything in those fields, you will receive the message that you have quoted above, in which case you just proceed leaving those fields blank. Perhaps your friend persisted with attempting those entries, rather than move on to the next stage. But glad to hear an account has now been registered, hopefully your friend is now able to post without any further difficulties.
