Actually there are a couple of good places behind the Pollensa Park. One is the Ikebana which does a great Sunday linch at 12 EUR & normally consists of calamares to start, paella for main along with wine, dessert etc. See http://www.puertopollensa.com/ikebana There is also the Golden Lion which I've never visted but I hear it does the best spit-roasted chicken in the Port & also does a cheap Menu del Dia (set a daily menu) -

We often walk along the beach road (from the Pine Walk End), have a drink at the Tamarells beach bar (only bar/restaurant ON the beach) & then turn up the side road nearly opposite to go to the Ikebana for Sunday lunch.

Thanks Pollense,

I've read your site with great interest!

I'm a bit of a foodie and one time chef so i'd love to get some traditional Mallorcan fare on the go. I'm a bit fan of the spanish style food and love the traditional type of places where the locals might also go to dine. What I'm not into is 'ponsy' food with maximum presentation and minimum flavour. I noticed in Cyprus these were in abundance and the prices were hugely overpriced, even for the UK!

Any more advice is welcome :)
