diving is excellent wherever you choose on the red sea coast of Egypt and the vast majority will have an onsite dive centre.

Sharm would be the obvious choice but it covers a huge stretch of coast outside of Naama bay (the main town where you will find the bright lights, bars and Restuarants ). Many in fact I'd say the majority of hotels are within a 10-15 minute taxi ride but there is very little if anything outside of these hotels except desert. These hotels alongside the coast are mainly all A/I and you will have every requirement for a lovely holiday within the gates + of course the beautiful Red sea if you choose a beachfront hotel with naama Bay a taxi or hotel bus away. Your other altwernative would be to look for a hotel within walking distance of Naama bay . these will be mainly B+B/HB although there is at least 1 A/I the sonesta beach club.

There are plenty of excursions on offer i.e cairo, luxor , boat and snorkelling trips, quad biking in the desert and a couple of small waterparks to name a few.

Another resort she may like to look at is El gouna . I havnt been YET but it gets really good reports on HT. It sounds excellent for families and there is the added advantage of a safe downtown area and marina (flights to hurgharda for there)
