Hi everybody, i have a slight problem and wondered if anybody could help? Me and 3 friends (all 18) are looking to go away this july, preferably to Tenerife South, but 2 of my friends are worried about their being chavs (could'nt think of a better word). I know the two major resorts are Los Christianos & Playa de las Americas and we would like to stay in either one but any other resorts which are similar will be fine. We would like to go out of a night for a casual drink in a night club or Bar without worrying about the prospect of 'being started on' by people, is this possible? I think we will porbrably see more families in Tenerife than chavs but that is just off reading about it and doing some research as none of us have actually been. Obviously we won't be drinking every night, we would also like to go on the beaches, to restaurants and to any attractions there are. If anybody has any good suggestions that would be great .
On a side note could somebody explain this to me. I looked on Easyjet on the 4th of Jan (3 days ago) and could get a return ticket to Tenerife in July for £100, i checked the same dates again the next day and they shot up to £199 for a one way ticket. This happend to other destinations travelling from Manchester with Easyjet. Will they eventually go down?
Thanks for reading, any help is much appreciated .
The answer to the second part of your question......easyjet flights don't usually go down again. If they have jumped that much means they are popular and being booked
Thanks debbymark for your help, although that is a shame to hear. Guess i will just keep looking 'til i find a good deal on flights, i'm building up my collection of websites to search on as we speak The best i have found up 'til now are skyscanner.net and travelsupermarket.com.
Ive been going to Tenerife PDLA for a few years,im a lot older but my kids are your age and ive never noticed a lot of Neds(as we call them in Scotland)just young people out having a good time!My daughter and her friends went by themselves last year for the first time, and have booked to go again in June, they love it and have never came across any trouble!
Im sure there will be a few troublemakers about, but im sure you would get them wherever you go.
Anne
Thanks Anne, what you have said is reassuring. Obviously like you say there will always be a few troublemakers but as long as they're a minority then it's fine . Alls that i have to do now is persuade 2 out of the 4 that are coming that PDLA is not like they imagined it so they will actually go there.
