theres loads to choose from some the normal cheap meals but ok then theres such as lunas grill on the main bellevue strip, its lovely.theres also plenty of chinese but only been to one on the corner of the crossroads near the beach forget what it was called but food was ok. also there are steakhouses etc and the all you can eat and drink buffet down at tropical minigolf which i have described on another thread about alcudia. im sure you will find plenty to suit you as theres so much to choose from and theres more in the port area. have a good holiday.

hi there again its strange that you usually go to turkey and now trying alcudia as with us its the other way round. have been to alcudia 5 times now but last year we tried turkey. it was cheaper but missed the beach as its not very good in marmaris and we love alcudia beach. as you come out of bellevue which i believe is where you are staying across the road is the colber supermarket. if you are having a day at the beach call here and get some freshly baked rolls, ham and philladelphia to make sarnies for on the beach. also get your drinks etc as its much cheaper, and you are all set for a cheap day with your nephew as he will love the beach and trying to catch the fish that swim around you. the water is really safe and shallow. makes me want to go now.

hello again cart583 well iwas wondering have you ever stayed in the bellvue as some say its fab an some give it a bad report but i suppose what you like an i like are two different things yes turkey id say is very cheap but we have been to marmaris 4 times now because im going with my nephew i know alcudia wont be as hot as marmaris an yes i agree the beaches in marmaris are bad but we love the food but you do get sick of them hasseling you all the time ive had some good gold from turkey an i always get it valued when we get home to make sure we havent been ripped off but my husband an i are having a hol together in september for a week so who knows we might get to turkey i suppose alcudia for you is the same as turkey we can walk down the street an they remember your face an even your name which is really nice

we have stayed at bellevue 3 times and we like it but there are plenty of people that dont. yes the rooms are basic but we never intend spending much time in them anyway. the complex is huge but you have a choice of pools so you can find a quieter one if the one nearest your block is a but noisy. theres minigolf, a playground right next to the cafe area so people can sit and watch their kids and have a drink or your nephew could do a spot of fishing in the canal that runs through as you see kids doing this. if you look on the hotel review section of HT you will see that some people say its the best holiday they have had and others say the worst but it depends on what you want from a holiday. its a family complex so its very noisy and busy. anyway i am sure you will love alcudia so dont worry too much and dont expect 5 star at the bellevue and you will be ok.

i stayed at hotel marte which is part of the jupiter saturno complex, and as the food was really repetative the second week, we ate out all the time, just opposite the hotel are some shops, and some fantastic restaurants, there was one and feel really bad cant remember the name, is run by a british family, with widescreen tv for footy, lovely food and cheap, its just on the left opposite hotel saturno xx

Hi

The Chinese restaurant that we loved was the Grand Mundho, which is right at the bottom of the Bellvue Hill. Prices would be cheaper than eating out in the UK, but maybe not so cheap as some of the other bistros and bars, but worth it, as its absolutely beautiful.

There are a couple of other restaurants on the actual hill on the left hand side walking up towards the Bellvue complex, we didnt try them, but heard that they are very nice too!!!

Have a lovely holiday!
