When the kids were younger, we returned to the Canaries year after year, only staying in the same hotel twice when we visited Gran Canaria. With Lanza it was always Costa Teguise but different hotels and in Tenerife, we did PDLA, Adeje, LC..always in different hotels.
Since the kids grew up, we have never visited the same place twice because the world is a big place and there is much to see. This will change in a couple of weeks when we go back to Bali and stay in the Puri Santrian (volcano permitting).
The only other places I would return to would be Holiday Park in Santa Ponsa for a cheap and cheerful week away and Mango Beach Resort at Airlie Beach in Oz.

We have also stayed at the Puri Santrian twice! Great place and we also enjoyed their restaurant at the entrance. Hopefully the volcano won't stop flights.
