I think we may be having a problem re the towels and the changing of them . I had a call back from First choice and they say there is no problem with changing them daily.
Anotherguru was that 3 times in a week or 2 weeks.
I booked my holiday 11th Sept 2009, I have just arrived in from work and no letter yet to say I am being moved to new hotel.
I hope First Choice are looking at these comments and sort themselves out .
My cousin has booked this holiday in Feb 10 and will over lap with us our last week her first week , I bet one of us will get cancelled.

sandra, i think that was per stay. They might well let you do more if you badger them, i expect they just want to keep it to the minimum amount of swaps.
No not First Choice I booked through Thomas Cook, I priced it through Thomson then Thomas Cook... Thomson were cheaper but Thomas Cook matched their price so booked through them as have had previous dealings with them and found them ok
Hi has anyone had any up dates today re the Holiday Village.
If they continue to amend bookings the other hotels will be booked also.
Lets hope some people returning from their holidays shortly keep us updated.

The reason i asked about Thomas Cook is that i was suprised that they sell their rivals holidays, i didn't realise they did this. I thought only Thomson and First Choice would sell this hotel.
As far as I am aware all tour operators sell other tour operators holidays thats how you get the best deals
I tend to book online so that could be why, though we did go into First Choice and they price matched the internet and we got a bargain though it was only 2 weeks before departure.
On another forum, thousands are having holidays to HV cancelled due to over booking.The double booking effects every day of the season.Letters going out today & tomorrow

Re how unfinished was the HV going to be by 8th May.Have you read the reviews posted by people who were there at the start?

She has called them this morning and has told them that if she changes to another holiday village they must cover the difference in prices , they have said they are unable to do this and would be happy to return her balance in full and she can then look for another holiday.
What a cheek , as we know all the Holiday Villages are now a lot more expensive than when we booked last year.
At lunch time she is going to call and try to book the same holiday and give another name just to see what they say and if she can book. I wonder if this is due to overbooking or that the prices have changed so much they are trying to get extra money.

I'm awaiting a call back from a First Choice manager today, having told him yesterday there is more chance of seeing Lord Lucan and Shergar at The Atlantica Aegean Blue than me.
Will have to be...
1) Original Booking Accepted
2) Another Holiday Village (plus compensation) on the same dates
3) A lengthy legal case where i will take every opportunity to advise anyone who cares to listen why they should NOT book with First Choice in advance in future.
To cap it all, my balance is not due until 5th June yet i have received a letter today with a new due date of 22nd May.
Will update the forum later.
Teacher has actually been to the First Choice shop locally and she could of booked a family room but not swim up as originally done last year but the price is an extra £1900.00.
She is going to call them back give them these details and tell them to change her booking immediately with no extra charge and to give her compensation for all of the upset caused to her and family.
If she does not get this she will also be taking legal advice.
Watch out First Choice I don't think people and just going to roll over and take the mix ups caused.
Can anyone that has already travelled to a swim up room tell me if the pool outside is very deep. This is not a family swim up room but the other one. My two little ones are 7 and 5 and can swim but would like to know how deep the water is.

Are all the hotels she has been offered part of the Atlantica Group likt the Holiday Village?
They also have told her that they will call her this afternoon or first thing in the morning as they are looking into her query. They will not commit to anything.
See SOOOOOOOOO annoyed that this uis going on nearly a year after booking.
I think there will be alot of people in the same boat that are unaware that this is going on.

Any news Frankiec.
sandra, none of the pools were overly deep (except the swim teach pool and fast slide pool), 120 cm deepest part of the activity pool i think, they all ranged from 0cm shallow to that depth. I think by the spa seats and swim ups the pools were about 1m deep.

Still waiting for 'Lloyd' the manager i spoke to yesterday to contact me. He has told me i will know for definite today what is happening.
