Pefkos is very falt in the centre. There are the odd few apartments/hotels on the hill but the majority of Pefkos is flat. There are lots of accommodation in the centre. I highly recommend it.

Sarah
As breezeclose says Pefkos is quite flat in the resort centre and does have a nice beach but there's not alot of sightseeing to be done. You could visit Lindos (5-10 mins by taxi) and if you get dropped off at the main square the centre of town is pretty flat but if you want plenty to see you'd need to hire a car and get out and about.
Faliraki has a lovely stretch of beach but again not alot of sightseeing in the vicinity and early/late season it can be a bit of a ghost town.
I'd go for Rhodes Town, being on the northern tip the beaches are pebbly and windy but there is so much to see and the majority is pretty flat. Rhodes Town, being the capital, also has a certain buzz whether it's peak or low season. As i said the beaches aren't fantastic but you could pick somewhere with a nice pool and maybe get a bus/taxi/hire car to one of the better beaches on the island.
October is a little more unpredictable than high summer but generally it's warm enough to sunbathe during the day though the evenings can be quite cool.
Thanks for the info. Will do a bit of research on Perfkos and Rhodes Town and with a bit of luck will be there in mid October. I have visited Rhodes Town on a day trip from Kos, but had not thought about it as a resort. Thanks again
I am going to Rhodes in mid-October. I always go at that time of year and have been very lucky with the weather.I'm spending my first week in Rhodes Town with my grandson and his girlfriend and then my second week with friends in Koskinou. The sea is usually lovely and warm at this time of year and the island is quieter so easier to get around and better for taking photos!!
Should have said there's a lovely beach in the residential area of Rhodes Town, called Zefiros. The Lomeniz hotel is right on this beach.
I'm Booked! Going to Rhodes Town and staying in the Blue Sky Hotel. Thanks for all your replies, will wrtie a report on the holiday and hotel. Really looking forward to the holiday
Our hotel is almost opposite yours! ---- well across a roundabout and a busy road anyway. Will wave from our balcony!!
