HI,
hubby and I and another couple of friends are "riu Class Members". I wonder if anyone else on this site are members and can enlighten us as to the advantages. We applied for free membership after reading their website following our second stay at a Riu hotel. It stated that as a frequent guest at their properties we would be entitled to points (upon production of our membership cards at check-in) which we could exchange for benefits. The only benefit mentioned was money off our final bill. HOwever, most of their hotels are AI and as yet we haven't had a bill to settle as everything was included
We're staying at another Riu hotel in August and it would be nice to know how we can use this membership to our advantage. Any advice please?
This is not always the case though as we have a Marriott card and were given our BA miles when we booked through an agent. We have a Hilton card and hubby got free use of their gym with it - as well as BA miles for the stay.
Getting a hotel card is always a good idea. We have had several others where we didn't see any benefit but they are always worth a try!
