We found loads of nationalities and varied ages. The 3 hotels were all buzzing every evening. To be honest the majority was British (families, couples, singles). Entertainment day and night (non-stop) you will NEVER be bored. Have a great time. Any questions please ask.
howdy, can anyone tell me if all inclusive wristbands are a requirment at the RIU hotels along bahia maimon? we are visiting the mambo, i just wondered as ,of course, all guests in these hotels will be on an AI basis anyway so cant really see the need for them...
No wristbands required you'll be glad to know. Stayed at the Mambo last July / August. Can't recommend enough to be honest - it was a fantastic holiday.
thanks for that, i was not relishing the prospect of feeling like a homing pigeon for the duration of my 2 weeks in paradise...
just a quickie...anyone been to the RIU's on bahia maimon who can tell me how long their transfer was from POP airport/ we normally get a hire car on our med holidays and do it ourselves after a 4 hour nightmare put us off transfer buses for life...do you pass through other resorts dropping off and how long was the journey from airprot to hotel, cheers guys
We did a DIY holiday to the dominican last year, and stayed in the riu bachata. Our transfer was approx 45 minutes from airport to hotel.
We have gone at different times of the year and took our daughter who is 13. The only reason we are not going back this year is that we are going to mexico for a change!!
The food, staff, entertainment etc is brill and would not hesitate to recommend!
Travelled each time with either Thomson or portland (both the same...only the price is different!) and the transfer has varied from 30 mins to 50 mins depending if you need to stop and drop people off.
any qs please ask!!
thanks for that claire, we have heard nothing but good reports regarding all 3 RIU's and it is possibly the first holiday we will go on where we feel really confident that the place will be just what we want and that we will enjoy it, which is a great feeling to have! i am easily pleased anyway and am of the opinion that anyone who can't enjoy 2 weeks on a carribean island is seriously too hung up, even if there are one or two little niggles, anyway, just 12 days to go now and i really feel like i can relax knowing what a great time we will be having
