(Apologies if this in wrong forum section as it is sort of a general question and one which is specific to hotel in gran can)

I have booked all inclusive with Thomas Cook at Riu Waikiki in Playa Del Ingles

When booking there was no option to add late check out so afterwards I emailed them afterwards to enquire as it would really help to retain a room due to my medical condition. They advised that they had checked but Thomas Cook were unable to book one for me/had no access to availability and to ask on check in or within first few days of holiday at reception. They have popped note on file and sent me new invoice with annotation "Reqst Late Check Out" - strangely in the general info bit rather than the requests section.

Does anyone know what time check out is at RIU hotels and how much they charge (if available) for late check out. We are not concerned with still retaining any all inc wristband , just to have the room or a room to stay in for 6-7 hours between check out and airport transfer coach picking us up.

I know a lot of the time hotels themselves do not get advice of traveller names until close to arrival due to way hotel groups block book accomodation but has anyone had any success in emailing hotels prior to arrival (say within a couple of weeks) to ask about it.
