i fold then use compression bags
WE I mean my wife)
we roll , especially shirts etc. ( to be accurate, when I say
I'm a roller
so does rolling really mean wrinkle free?
I wouldn't claim wrinkle free but my shirts are better than when simply folded.
I fold then put in compression bags... we also bring a small spray bottle of fabric conditioner or ironing water and some tumble dry sheets for when we're hanging our clothes up or putting in drawers when we get there.
first time for rolling for us this year, and there was a lot more room in the case, son's t-shirts just got hung up as soon as we got there, and never had no creases, good job as we don't take an iron on hol, my dresses also got hung up and they were also crease free, so rolling in future for us :-)
i fold going and roll coming home.... more room for souvenirs etc.
is there a technique for rolling larger items like dresses?
What I do is put my beach towel half in the case, roll clothes etc & place in case. I then fold over the remaining towel so that all my clothes are covered. I then place a swing bin bag over the towel & fasten the straps. In the other half of my case ie the lid I put shoes toilet bag etc, this end of the case has a zipped net cover which keep everything in place.
When you roll stuff do you roll them from flat? Ie a t shirt do you lay it flat them roll droll the bottom or top or do you fold it half first?
Also- is it only one dress at a time, or would you roll a few together? Same with shirts?
Fiona - Roll them them one at a time.
thanks everyone
