Is prority booking worth it or not, l'm tempted to get this for our outbound flight.
If l book prority is there any tips on being first to get a seat with extra leg room.
Do they annouce for prority to come to the gate or do you just hover around and jump in quick when they open.

Another question which l could do with answering is... when we get to the airport with boarding passes do you go to ryanair check in desk or straight to departure lounge.

ray316,
it does depend on which airport you are flyinng from as to whether it is worth it. i find that it is definitely worth it at gatwick, bournemouth and gerona.
all airports have slightly different methods of dealing with this, but most have a big sign at the gate pointing priority passengers to one queue and all others in another queue.
note that they also call you at different times at different airports, and people do start queueing for both queues around 40-60 minutes before the flight is due to leave.
also be aware that ryanair do not let children nor the infirm in the emergency exit seats.

So you go to the terminal ryanair desk to check in even though you have boarding passes :que .......and the airport we are flying from is East midlands does anyone know how they do prority boarding there....
Anyway l think l will give it a go and see if l can get a seat with extra leg room, any tips on how to get on the plane first when going on prority with others in the que. l suppose it's a mad dash for the plane as soon as you leave the bus.

I believe you can't make any changes to the booking once you have checked in online. You may be able to add it if you call them, but it's an expensive rate and I'm not sure if you can still change it or not.

Help Help have just arranged to go away thinking we could use a certain airline only to find out we now need to use Ryanair and I am in a panic just at the thought can I run a couple of question bye someone as it is quite urgent that i book and airport cost £1.50 a call.(liverpool)
1. Luggage do you get 10 kilos for each adult in hand luggage (read that they don't allow goods bought in airport either unless in bag) understand that they insist on certain dimensions

2. If I purchase 15 kilo luggage for each passenger do I still have the allowance of 10kilo handluggage or is this stripped away.

3. Can you get a sandwich and water/coke at airport and carry this on or do they make you buy theres

4. You can only checkin online so how do they weigh your bags at the airport and how do you checkin when you are returning to UK as I will have no access to computer. I am totally in the dark about this.
Had a friend who came back from Spain about May and told me it was a nightmare at the Spanish side, tryed to get her advice but is away till Thursday

Many thanks Jay

Each passenger gets hand luggage allowance to the prescribed dimensions / limits.

Hand luggage is just that, hand luggage. You still get that if you purchase seperate hold luggage.

You can take your own refreshments to consume onboard (alcohol excluded).

You can check-in online up to 15 days before departure so can do it before you depart if going to less than 15 days. If traveling for longer than that, you may need to visit an internet cafe etc.

ray316,

Buses are rarely used at EMA for Ryanair flights, 99% of the time you'll walk straight from the gate to the aircraft.

Please take the time to watch this ... I know it's not particularly new but I really enjoyed it, so thought you might have a chuckle too and although it's doing the rounds, it was an HT member who originally put me on to it!

Is there any truth in the rumour that I've heard that FR will be pulling out of Girona airport, serving the Costa Brava in Spain?
Reply
Could happen yes, a rumour I heard before we announced BCN as a base. Looks more likely now.

That would make sense if BCN replaces GRO. Long live the Costa Brava! xx

Ryanair says Cyprus flights are still an option

Ryanair claims it has not ruled out launching budget flights to Cyprus from the UK in spite of claims from tour operators that they had managed to block the budget airline from entering the market.

Reports in the travel trade press this week suggested tour operators had persuaded the Cyprus authorities not to offer the airline discounted airport fees by claiming low-cost flights would threaten their own business to the island.

The operators' claims came after Ryanair confirmed it was launching flights from Belgium to Larnaca but made no announcement of its plans to fly from the UK to Cyprus, even though the airline is believed to be keen to launch flights from Stansted.

However, a Ryanair spokesman said: "Cyprus is a long sector market and we have only just started developing these routes. We already fly to Greece from other European destinations, but not from the UK.

"We don't comment on speculation but it will probably be next summer before we look at developing further into the long sector market."

Ryanair to pull out of Belfast City Airport

Ryanair will terminate operations at George Best Belfast City Airport at the end of October, bringing an end to its services between there and Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow Prestwick, Liverpool and Stansted.

Passengers holding reservations on any of these routes from November onwards should check with Ryanair for further info.
