A lot has been said about Sa Coma and how 'British' it is with few nice restuarants. Me and my friend visited S'illot last weekend for 4 days and had a fabulous time. We thought the bars and restaurants along the front in S'illot were lovely. It was nice to sit and watch the world go by over a jug of sangria. We also found a couple of nice restaurants, namely: Cafeteria Port I Mar overlooking the beach which served the most divine squid with ali oli and salad. Bliss. We also visited a restaurant named La Gamba de Oro (at the side of the mini golf in S'illot) who offer a fixed menu for 18 euros which includes a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 deserts, along with a bottle of wine, water and coffee. Beautifully cooked and presented with numerous awards on the walls. Cafe Bar Ses Ones on the front did delicious lunchtime snacks and the Sports Bar Cristobel in Sa Coma was the place we went for a late night drink if we didn't fancy the 'loudness' in the Kings Head and Britannia. Gabriel, who owns the bar, is the pefect host. A large G & T was 4 euros and it was nice to chat with other people whilst watching a bit of Frank Sinatra/Elvis plus other nice music. Gabriel also gave us a gorgeous chicken curry type dish with fresh crusty bread, on the house, which was most welcome. We were getting a bit peckish about 1 am in the morning and this was a nice touch!! It's a nice bar and he deserves to be a lot busier. We also ate at Salvadors a couple of times. Quality and amount of food is good and also good measures on the drinks . We really enjoyed our short stay and maybe people should get out and about a bit instead of staying around the hotel or apartment complex which is really killing these resorts.
