Hi Scrumpy

Before I read your post I knew it was the Prazeres Hotel. How much are they charging these days? :(

you might not believe this M/W but when we were there in nov it was 200 a day we thought this cant be right and went to see the F/C rep and she told us yes thats how much the hotel charge for a safe box .. :cry :cry

A few people have still had belongings taken out of the safety deposit box such as money and mobile phones. £35 for a fortnight :yikes

Can anybody else tell me what they pay in other hotels?

I've used one of these :- PACSAFE for the last few years and it has served me very well ( and saved me money on safety deposit boxes)

I might not risk it for my whole diamond collection but find it perfect for my camera passport cash etc.
you just have to find somewhere secure to fix it to such as plumbing or permanent fixtures.

You can pick them up on ebay for about £25.

Just a suggestion

Instead of being ripped off by the Prazeres charging 200 rupees a day for the hire of a safety box I have now found a nearby hotel that rents them for 350 rupees a week to non residents. Also now have a travel safe so I can keep my less valuable stuff secure in my room. Roll on 14th March, see you all at Mollys on 17th. Lenny

Can I ask that you don't use phone style text such as u instead of you?

Some of our visually impaired members use screen readers that do not recognsie that type of text.

Thanks.
