we visited spain a couple of years ago and stayed near la zenia / cabo roig, we found this very commercialised and more english than spanish. we are looking at another holiday and was considering san juan staying in a villa. i was wondering is this town also commercialised and full of english bars / discos, or is it quieter and more relaxed.
Any other info on this town is gratefully recieved.
If you mean San Juan that is north of Alicante,then I have never stayed there but been through that area on the train and it seemed a quiet place and very unenglish.
Been to the beach there a couple of times, really nice place. Seems really quiet and Spanish, never seen an english bar there to be honest.
many thanks for your advice, it would appear that this could be a place to consider for our next holiday.
Ive been there a couple of times, I used to stay in El Campello, lovely beach, cant think of any English Bars though.
