Hi Jo :D

we are also booking to go next May!! When date are you there?

We stayed in May this year and the weather was fantastic. It was at least 25c on cool days and went up to 35c. According to the staff who work there it's always nice in May. Also it's not as busy, it's just nice. Enough people there for the activities, shows etc, but not overcrowded. Everything was up and running in the resort by May 13th.

I'm sorry but I can't comment on Beach club accom. as we stay in the Hotel, but I'm sure there will be someone else to answer your question.

thanks for the info. we're going 20th may for 2 weeks. Also meeting up with another family and hoping to get rooms nearby. maybe i can contact them direct to request this ?

Hi Jo,

have you seen their website - http://www.sanmiguelresort.com. If you contact them using either email or telephone (they speak good English, if you don't speak Spanish), they will more than likely place you near each other. The reception staff are usually very helpful.

We are either going the 20th or the 12th so far, can't decide yet!! :D

Hi Jo, when we stayed at the beach club with 2 kids and 2 adults the rooms were basic, but we found that we didn't spend much time in there apart from when we were sleeping. When they are fully occupied with 4 people you have just enough room to mover arround, but we mannaged and we had and 7 year old and a 13 year old!

Hi There

Staying at the San Miguel Beach Club next week and have requested a low room overlooking the pool. Can anyone advise if this is a wise choice or would the higher floor be better.

Cheers

hi - think higher room is better as the ones on the ground floor tend to be darker and you can get blocked in by all the sunbeds in front of your terrace but thats just my personal opinion as I have stayed in both - higher and lower - the rooms are lighter and airier on the first or second floor- it depends what you want

thanks for that - I will hpoefully get it changed to the higher floor - really looking forward to it - especially with all the good reviews

Many Thanks again

Hi there 8)

not entirely sure of the exact opening time!! However, the wine was available at breakfast! The bar at the Beach Club was open by at least 10am if not sooner, but we were down there at around that time and people were getting beers and stuff then, if that helps 8)

The club bar is 'meant' to open at 9 if i remember right, but that wasn't always the situation! The western saloon however doesn'topen until 12, with the snacks starting at 12.30!

Hi all. Me and the family are off to San Miguel Beach club in less than 3 weeks now, and we are all very excited :D However, the hubby would like to know if there are any places, preferably bars, in the area that have a TV which may be showing the grand prix. Its all he is worried about at the moment. Hope there is something as I know he will be in a grump otherwise :?

There's a very long thread with everything you need to know about the San Miguel Hotel and Beach Club HERE :)
We are off to the San Miguel Hotel in just over 5 weeks and have found the above thread very informative and helpful.

Hi Joan. Well in my opinion yes there is plenty of things to keep your teenagers occupied. My daughter has gone from the age of 13, and is now 16 still wanting to go. Theres plenty of sports included with the all inclusive, and because of the animation team, they are kept occupied. Plus there are plenty of kids their age allready there. There is access to the internet. As far as I remember, theres a computer in both the club and hotel reception, one by the club bar, and one by the thomson help desk in the hotel. It costs 1 or 2 euros for 20 minutes, I can't really remember though. But I have heard that its a lot cheaper at the excursion shop over the road. The 4th bed should be a proper bed, but it might be worth checking with the hotel first as it could have changed. Hope this helps :)
