The Santiago is on Baga Road between Calangute & Baga.
You're more or less in the heart of it all so yes, shops, hotels, restaurants, bars, beach

The santiago is great, not only as a hotel but also the postion of it. It's set back from the main road and be warned...when you go down the road you will think 'oh no'! But as you turn the corner you'll see the hotel.
It's about a 6 minute walk to the beach down past the CSM and then you have a choice of shacks (Big banana or Bosco's are my choice). It is walking distance to most places but there's always load of taxis outside.
Might see you there as I have some friends staying there the following week
