We are arriving in Vilamoura on Saturday morning. Does anyone know of any good Scottish Bars around the marina area. We have heard that The Winning Post is a good bar but do not know where it is.
Many Thanks
The 19th hole in the Marina will have it on but will be mobbed with English.
A good bar with great TV's and less crowded is Pacifico Bar in a little Square up the Steps between The Old Navy and Hagen Daaz, cross the road and look for Restaurant Cataplana(Very good fish by the way) and it's in the square behind.
Having just returned from Vilamoura there were at least 6 bars on the marina showing various sports, Figos Bar Sete was popular and there were a couple of Irish bars. The Irish Cabin just behind the marina was also a popular sports bar.
It's on at the same time as the England v Australia rugby semi-final and many bars will major on the rugby!
What am I gibbering about? And this is before I have had a drink! It is of course England v France at 8pm next Saturday night, which will occupy the attention of George Cross wearers and I am sorry that those of the St Andrew's persuasion might have to look a little harder for their one!
Thanks everyone for your help and advise
The rubgy isn't until 8pm. Your problem is the england-estonia footy which is at 3pm, same time as the scotland game. There is bound to be somewhere that will show the match. Just get your skates on early and find somewhere early. I'll be at Hampden
The Gold Spot in Albufeira Old Town will undoubtedly have both games on at the same time. Floyd's will be showing the England game, because we can only get one or the other, and I am English, for me sins...
