Can anyone please let me know how warm ( or cold ! ) the sea will be this time of year ?

Hi,
I am in Tenerife now, just did a boat trip to Masca Bay from Los Gigantes and swam in the sea. It was a bit of a shock when I dived in but not any different to an unheated swimming pool.
